21.2 billion tons oil available for China

According to Beijing Youth Daily, new results from the national oil and natural gas resources evaluation was released on August 18, after 4 years of hard work. It is the most extensive research that covers the most minerals.

The results show that China's potential oil resources have reached 108.6 billion tons, with 76.5 billion tons of geological resources. Among them 21.2 billion tons are available to be exploited and exploration is in the middle stages. The potential resources of natural gas are 56,000 billion cubic meters, with 35,000 billion cubic meters of geological resources; and among them 22,000 billion cubic meters are available to be exploited. Exploration is in the early stages. Meanwhile, the geological resources of coal gas remain at 37,000 billion cubic meters and 11,000 billion cubic meters are available.
